Thoughtful

Writer: ConsuelaConsuela

I love summer for one main reason...and it's not the weather. I live in Southern California in RL and it is HOT in the summer. I am much more a fan of moderate climates, I enjoy seasons and the changes in weather. You don't get a lot of change in the weather where I live. But that is besides the point. I love summers because I get time off work and can reflect on all kinds of things without work pressing in.

My original avatar's rez date is September 25, 2007. I actually learned about SL in July 2007 and thought it was weird so I dismissed it. Then one day I was going through some notes and found the reference to SL. Bored and curious, I created my original avatar, and I have been logged in consistently ever since. September 25th is the day I should probably celebrate as my rez date every year, but I end up just celebrating the rez date of the avatar I happen to be using at the time, if I celebrate at all.

I have done a variety of things across a few avatars. Presenter, jazz club hostess, role player, writer, model, blogger, vlogger, manager, producer, and erotic dancer. I have built many friendships along the way, some that even spanned avatars. I have also had my share of partners, but none quite like I have right now. I really have never had someone be my partner whom I share so much in common with. That has really changed the way I view and live my Second Life. So much so that I have put my alts away and chosen the one we met on as my new main.

I find myself thinking on what I want this blog to be. While I am a brand manager, I am no longer a blogger looking for sponsors, so my blog does not need to look and feel that way. I find I enjoy the SL blogs that have a bit more to them than a photo and credits. I enjoy learning a bit more about the person behind the avatar. So that is the shape my blog will take. I likely won't credit anything that isn't the brand I work for, but that doesn't mean I don't want to share. It's more of a time saver for me really. Why link everything, if no one really wants to know where I got whatever it is I am wearing? I have enjoyed talking with the people who have messaged me inworld, on Flickr and on Instagram who have wanted to know where I got something. So rather than list credits, contact me (inworld, FlickrMail, IG DM, Twitter DM, email, your choice!) and I will gladly tell you where I got something and more than likely link you right to it!
